Darius Jackson, the boyfriend of actress Keke Palmer, has made his feelings about the 29-year-old’s fashion choices quite known on social media.
On Wednesday, the fitness teacher took to Twitter to express his “standards” for his girlfriend’s attire.
He called out the award-winning actress for wearing a fitted black bodysuit under a sheer dress to watch Usher perform at his Las Vegas Residency.
Darius initially tweeted a video of Palmer dancing with the 44-year-old singer alongside the text, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom”, which soon sparked backlash.
Fans quickly came to Keke’s defence and said: “This should be a conversation between the two of you.”
Another wrote: “She looks stunning.”
When Darius was met with this criticism from followers, he went on to defend himself: “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.
“This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
After he continued to receive mixed replies from his followers about his choice of words describing Keke’s outfit, Darius ended his posts by replying to a fan, “Last tweet of the day for sure. that’s for the real ones to understand.”
Darius’ statement comes as a shock as the couple recently welcomed a baby boy, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, making Keke a mum for the first time.
She shared the exciting news with fans on Instagram and posted a number of photos and video clips of her newborn son.
One snap saw Keke and Darius driving home from the hospital, followed by a video clip of Keke singing during the journey before briefly showing the car seat in the back.
The next clip saw the Nope star in a hospital bed, while Darius sat with their son on a rocking chair, which was then followed by a sweet photo of the overjoyed couple with their son in the hospital bed.
And the last two photos saw the newborn looking snug as he slept all wrapped up in a blanket, alongside a cute elephant toy.
Captioning her post, Keke revealed the tot’s name, writing: “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”
